Having only been married for three years, we had neither built up the prerequisite amount of year to do something really extravagant with our anniversary, nor earned enough money to be able to afford to do something extravagant! We weren’t doing too badly though, with both of us in jobs and our careers progressing. We of course wanted to celebrate our marriage in some style, and we decided that we could at least take a week in a nice sunny part of Europe.
I started to have a look around on the usual websites for some late deals on one of the many lovely European islands. I happened upon a great site which gave lots of information about the Tenerife weather and it really made us think that it might be a good time for us to head back there. We had enjoyed a fantastic holiday there a few years back just before we got married, and I knew that travelling out there again would bring back a host of great memories for us. I remembered it to be a really fun place to be, with lots of beautiful places to see during the day and lots of great bars at night. We had stayed at Playa de Las Americas when we went there before but we thought this time it might be a bit nicer to find somewhere a little quieter.
I had a look at a Tenerife guide online and there were a few quieter places that would suit us very nicely indeed. I managed to book us a lovely looking small hotel in one of the quieter parts of Tenerife at very little cost. I knew that it would be a wonderful place for us to celebrate our anniversary together.
